ABOUT LIBRARY
The Hindusthan College of Engineering and Technology Library with a total carpet area of 2020 sq.mt spread over with excellent 300 seating arrangements, Centralized air-conditioned facility with a perfect eco-friendly environment and Providing continuous teaching and learning environment for all fields of Engineering, Management, Science and Technology to all the teaching, learning and research fraternity, with manual and digital resources from National and International contributors. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on enrolling library membership. Besides, the Library has huge collection of books, National and International journals on Engineering, Management Science and Humanities through its various divisions.

To provide excellent information resources, deliver quality services and facilities to meet the research, teaching and learning needs of the Institution.
OBJECTIVES
- The primary objective of a library is to provide the right information at the right time in the right form to its users.
- To maintain the standard and reputation of the college through excellence in library services.
- To meet the requirements of academic needs of UG / PG students, research scholars and staffs of the institution.
- To provide appropriate and comfortable ambience for the library users.
- Develop and maintain effective and efficient infrastructure to provide and deliver information services.
- Support and enhance teaching and learning processes by delivering and promoting the effective use of information resources.
- Provide an information rich environment that supports and encourages excellence for research scholars.
- To provide a well-organized collection of books, periodicals and electronic media, this meets the instructional needs of the students and faculty in order to support the courses.
- To maintain a current and useful library collection reflecting the needs of all courses.

NDLI CLUB MEMBERSHIP
NDLI-Club is a platform for conducting learning-oriented events, both online (both local as well as involving many other institutes) and offline, for students of an institute using contents of NDLI (and others as well) and experts (of the institute as well as external) to deliver talks or conduct sessions.

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Members must deposit their bags, books, and other personal belongings at the library property counter.
- Usage of mobile phones is strictly prohibited inside the library layout.
- Users are advised not to leave valuable items or money at the property counter or unattended inside.
- All students and staff must scan their ID cards at the gate entry/exit system to record their entry in database registers.
- All borrowed books must be returned on or before the due date. Borrowed books can only be kept by students for 15 days.
- If a book is lost, the concern member must replace the book with the latest edition, along with overdue charges.
- If a lost book is not replaced, triple the cost of the book will be collected from the concerned member.
- All final year students must return all library books to obtain their official institutional No Dues Certificate.
- Books returned after the due date will be charged an overdue charge of Rs. 1/- per day.
- Absence from the institution is not accepted as an excuse for delay in returning borrowed books.
- Library books are to be used with utmost care. Damaged books will not be accepted and must be replaced.
- Underlining, scribbling, tearing pages, or any other mutilation of books, journals, or computer resources is punishable.
