B.E. CSE (CS) Computer Science and Engineering (Cyber Security)

In today’s digitally connected world, cybersecurity is a critical field that ensures the protection of information and communication systems from cyber threats. Our newly launched B.E - Cyber security program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to defend against cyber-attacks and secure digital infrastructures.

The comprehensive curriculum covers key areas such as network security, ethical hacking, cryptography, digital forensics, and cyber law. Students will gain hands-on experience through state-of-the-art labs, real-world projects, and internships with leading industry partners.

Our faculty comprises experienced professionals and researchers who bring cutting-edge insights into the classroom. Students will have opportunities to engage in collaborative research, participate in cybersecurity competitions, and attend seminars by industry experts.

Graduates of the program will be well-prepared for careers as cybersecurity analysts, ethical hackers, information security managers, and more. They will also be equipped to pursue advanced studies or certifications in specialized areas of cybersecurity.

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

PSO1: Ability to utilize modern tools and techniques for efficient system design and implementation for computer-based systems in solving engineering problems. PSO2: Ability in developing robust and secure software systems for diverse applications.

Programme Outcomes (POs)

1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems
2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences
3. Design / development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations
4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions
5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations
6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice
7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development
8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice

Students should be motivated to grab every opportunity that comes their way which would not only help in their holistic growth but also strengthen their belief in teamwork, which is important in this fast-paced world. They need to understand the importance of emotional balance, critical thinking, and most importantly accepting failure graciously! It is our strife to endow them with all these qualities and more. We believe in empowering our students in such a manner that they act as representatives of a meaningful and value-based society! Our pedagogy which is holistic and comprehensive complements this.
